On April 1, 2022, the Opening Ceremony of Ihya Ramadhan 1443H was held at the school level. This ceremony began with the reading of Surah Al-Fatihah and Surah Al-Baqarah verses 1-20 as a symbolic opening of the Al-Quran tadarus program that will be conducted throughout the month of Ramadan.
The reading was led by Ustaz Muhammad Ameir Hassan together with the students of level 2. The opening of the event was completed by the school's Headmaster with the gimmick of knocking the drum with several taps as a sign of celebrating the arrival of Ramadan.
Knocking the drum is a practice of the old Javanese Malay community to announce that it is time for prayer, breaking the fast, surprising the local community for suhoor, death announcements and so on.
